The boat is solid wood, and according to the website:
"This little sailboat is sturdy enough for a small child and can be used in the tub, or any body of water. The sails are tied with a waxed cotton string, and the wood (pine) is finished with non-toxic beeswax and orange oil. We love this as an alternative to plastic bath toys, and for outings to a puddle filled park. Boats are approx. 8" wide x 8"tall."
Plastic bath toys may leech harmful chemicals into bath water. Toys with phthalates, and PVC are bad for the Earth and for our charming (most of the time) little people. So replace them, or start off with greener, safer toys like this boat from Down to Earth toys. And you can rest assured knowing the toy is green and safe.
I love the colorful elephant sail and design of this little boat. I'm sure your little one will find hours of bath-time enjoyment sailing it. I know mine have!
