Happy Mother's Day!

Dear readers,

I hope you mamas have the chance to sleep in, eat big, drink copious amounts of coffee or tea that is still hot and fresh, spend happy time with well rested, polite and appreciative children, and even spend a few hours reading, excercising, or doing whatever the heck you want to for once. You deserve it. You try to feed your children the healthiest food, protect them from chemicals, the media, and all other dangers. You read the same stories over and over, you are to sleep late and are up early, you are sneezed on, coughed on, vomited and spit up on, and still respond to an endless barage of requests for milk, snacks, meals, and to play, draw, sing or whatever else is going on. You, deserve more than a day. I wish for you some simple pleasures, some much needed down time, and a happy, carefree day with your family.

Whew! Happy Mother's Day. For a laugh, check out this video from Momsrising. I've made the big time! You can send it to your favorite moms, too.

That was yesterday for us. I did get to sleep in and missed breakfast altogether because we were late for an event. Boy 2 was singing in the school choir and playing recorder too and then there was shared lunch for everyone while it snowed, hailed and rained outside. It was fun but did require lots of clothes!
