America's Greenest School and Fighting Cabin Fever

Just like everone else in the United States, I've been in inugaration land for the past few days. I'm back, with high hopes for our country and our new president.

I've been over at Eco-Child's Play and have posted two new articles. One I wrote on a 20 below night here in Vermont. It lists a few ways for parents to fight cabin fever (while being cheap and green) and feel connected with the world. They are short, simple ideas: but it might just be the kick in the pants you need to get out and do something with your kids (and with layers, of course).

Today I posted about a cool new competition for schools and students. The America's Greenest School contest gives students a chance to describe how their school is green, and to win a hybrid bus for their school, a scholarship, and money for their classroom. And the post also has some tips for greening up your school.

America's Greenest School is a fantastic competition. Thanks for promoting it! Everyone should check it out. I am writing a series about the Greening of America's Schools that you might want to check out. I think you might find the story about St. Philip's Academy really interesting.
