So as I have gotten a bit older (ahem--), and had two kids, I have been reaching more and more for a little makeup. Not much. I've never worn a lot, or known much of what to do with it. It's just that on some days I need a bit....more.
But my old Burt's Bees is running out and I have no idea what to get next. See, you know the drill, busy taking care of the kids, working full time, writing, etc., etc, no time to research what brands and companies to buy. If you read this blog, that means no parabens, phthalates, of course no lead, other carcinogenics, and made from primarily organic materials. This is a hefty list.
So I was pleased to read that the women of Safe Mama have launched an organic, safe beauty products site. Safe Mama has a very similar mission of Non-Toxic Kids, to keep all kids safe from chemicals in everyday products and in our environment, while keeping an eye on sustainability and environmental impact. They do wonderful and frequent reviews on the site, and this new blog, called Lovely Safe Mama will be a fantastic extension of that.
So when I finally do actually buy some new makeup (and sadly I don't see it happening any time soon!) I will check back at Lovely Safe Mama for some quality reviews and recommendations.
